Addressing Concerns:
Many people believe they don’t have the time for self-care, or they feel guilty taking care of their own needs. Yet when you take care of yourself through self-care habits and behavior, such as working with a counselor, your health and wellness find a sustainable balance. You can manage your “to-dos” and the stresses that accompany them more effectively.
Cost of Counseling – Some individuals are unsure if they can afford therapy. Yet continuing to live a restricted, anxious life may cost you a new job or promotion; it may add complications to a relationship and can take away your ability to enjoy life. There is an investment of time and money to support your healing. By learning mindfulness practices you are learning to use a tool/method to have with you everywhere you go. Once you become adept at the tool, regularly consulting a teacher is less necessary. You deserve to be happy and free. Unlearning old patterns which prevent an experience of freedom is a worthwhile investment!
What if therapy doesn’t work? – You will know quickly if these counseling methods do not meet your needs, and I will refer you to a suitable therapist.
For creative people, body-based therapy is an excellent modality that will refuel your imagination and passion, and it can help “less-creative” people tap into their creative spark! For all who do this work, you will leave with effective, body-based skills that will help you manage life’s challenges with grace. The first step is to decide your happiness and well-being are worth the investment!
