BEGINNING MINDFULNESS AND MEDITATION GROUP

Are you desiring a life free of worries about the future, regrets about the past, and an abundant appreciation for the present moment? regular Mindfulness Practice can help you achieve this! Mindfulness has a foundation from a long-held wisdom tradition and has helped people tolerate the ups and downs of life, and create “a life worth living”.  Mindfulness is taught as a way to reduce anxiety, calm your racing mind and sustain mental health.

In a small group setting, you will learn the basics of Mindfulness, and experience various practices, including meditation styles, which help you experience being here, now.

Spring  2020 TRAINING.  Wednesdays in April

  • Four Wednesdays: 6.30pm – 8.30pm

WOMEN’S GROUP

Are you longing to connect and share with other women? Does anxiety in social situations, or busy-ness prevent you from having deep and caring friendships? Maybe no one really understands how depression and anxiety affect your life…

Come join us and help build a joyous and fulfilling community experience in the Carbon Valley area. This popular group is open to women 20-years old and beyond!  I provide group leadership and encourage wisdom sharing to cope better with everyday life.

  • Wednesdays – 6:30pm – 8.15pm (starting again in  2020)
  • Monthly, on-going gathering (we will add new members at various times). We alternate months between an education topic presented by group leader, and participating in general sharing and processing.
  • The North Vista Medical Offices in Longmont, CO

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) training group

Learn how to “make a life worth living” (the DBT mission statement). I teach the four modules of DBT over a 6 week period, once a week for two hours each. There will be experiential and body-based learning. 

This valuable set of tools will help make you more effective in managing the complexities of this world.

Core topics: Mindfulness (how to be in the present moment without judgment), Distress Tolerance (how to survive a crisis without making things worse), Emotion Regulation (regulating emotions effectively), Interpersonal Effectiveness (communicating effectively to get needs met).

  • 2020 training will be $50 per class

BODY BASED PSYCHOTHERAPIES;

A class presenting various modalities to reconnect the Body/Mind.

If you have been feeling stuck in your healing journey because talk therapy does not seem to be enough, come and learn about why Somatic Psychology and Neuroscience are now the ‘cutting edge’ in psychology. I will introduce various forms for you to try, and explain the reasons why these can be helpful to you. This will be in a small, intimate group setting and will be in an educational format with a safe boundary.
